Ruth Hirst is a second year student studying Learning Disability nursing at Edinburgh Napier University. She is pleased to have joined the student sub group as member and secretary after seeing the commitment and value of the group at the most recent SLDNN conference.
Ruth initially took a different career path with a degree in Graphic Design but after personal experience of people with learning disabilities and sensory impairments, she decided to go back to university to become a nurse and has not looked back since!Ruth looks forward to being part of the student sub group and the exciting journey in becoming a learning disabilities nurse.
